Hello Fellow Readers/Participants,

I want to thank all of you who actively comment on our posts.  You are making this site a dynamic, living, breathing online community.  We can’t do this alone, and every comment really helps us share ideas, debate and keep an open dialogue of all things Charlottesville.  There are a lot of you out there… keep it up!  We love silent readers too, but we want to hear your opinions.

As for the people who have written articles: Busrider, Butterflyincville, cocoNUT, cmak, critique, lilith, Fearless Avenger, funky music, Iron, KCB, maiaoming, Ryan, Stanley, The Upstart and Yupster, WE LOVE YOU.  Please keep writing and coming back.  We really don’t like being the only ones who post stuff, so the more you can contribute, the better.

As for subject areas we would like to see covered on this site (spread the word please):

• We really want someone to do commentary on local sports, be it UVA, highschool or adult league.
• UVA gossip is oh so hot.  Thomas Jefferson would be proud of daring students who get rejected from The Dec and want to join our team.  We promise that you can be more liberal than at The Dec.  Frat party reviews would be perfect.
• Local service business reviews.  Do you have any nightmare service stories?  Please share the good and the bad.
• Gay scene.  Honestly, is there anything else other than 2:16 and Escafe?

Growing Pains

Well, last time we reported our numbers in May, we had 2,000 visits a month and 6,000 page views. For August we will do over 4,000 visits and over 13,000 page views!  Considering we do zero marketing, we think this growth is fantastic.  Keep telling your friends about us.

As you know we have had some technical issues on the site. We apologize for your inability to access the site or inability to post comments.  Please email us at gossip AT cvillain DAWT com whenever you have issues in the future with some quick details so we can address the problem.  We hope to clear up these issues in the near future as we are changing servers over the next couple of weeks.  More news on this soon!
