The natural bridge is a privately owned natural landmark that you have to pay $12 dollars to see. Word on the street is that they do some pretty lame light shows late at night. I’ve never heard of anyone actually enjoying the bridge. The worst thing is that they have put a fence around the bridge, so you can’t see it unless you pay!
The opportunity to buy Virginia’s best-known geological wonder and 1,600 acres of rural land around it for the asking price of $39.5 million may attract an eager buyer, but not one with tourism in mind.
I want to interview the idiot that buys it. $39 million.. COME ON!

What a Catch-22. It would be worth $39.5 million if they built some developments containing half-million dollar houses and a golf course on the land, but then it wouldn’t be worth anything once the scenic beauty is destroyed by the people moving there to enjoy said scenic beauty. It’s too bad the state didn’t fork over the money for in in the 1970’s. Something like that should be a state or national park.
Really? Are we really making fun of national monuments and natural treasures? This one’s not even phallic.
Thor, we need to talk.
Noooooooooooooo… I should have emphasized the word private. The whole privatized natural landmark is BS.
Well, you do get 1600 acres of some of the prettiest land in the state. It’s not like it’s just a funny-shaped rock.
