This looks like a Nazi regime in action…someone speaks out and is taken down. That looked completely ridiculous…hope he gets a tenacious lawyer. Here is some more detail behind what happened:

And of course, the poor chap’s website: http://theandrewmeyer.com/
I have been to many a conference with discussion panels, and not once when someone went over the time limit have I seen them be tasered. Have things changed so much in the past month? This kind of stifles those in the future who want to ask risque questions to political candidates, or will it embolden us to push the line? It seems that for only $300 we can be protected from pursuing our right to freedom of speach:

Watch the full clip (the 6+ minute version).. he pretty much had it coming. Resisting police is a good way to get tased.

He was asked to leave. He resisted. More officers come in to try to assist him out of the building. He gets more animated and starts flailing at officers. Now it’s not just trespassing, it’s resisting arrest. They had him on the ground, 1 hand in handcuffs, he’s still struggling, he’s warned about the taser, doesn’t comply, he gets tased.
(shrug)

Both from very different sites, political-leaning wise.
There is also speculation that the kid may have done it as a stunt.
Came off Adelphia, but the source is the AP:

Hmmm… well from what I can gather, he probably did do this as a stunt, but I can’t tell if they tasered him or not. Oh well, he gets his 30 seconds of fame.
What a waste! (Sorry kid.)
Certainly has been interesting watching the story develop. When I read the first reports, I was in shock and definitely sympathizing with the kid. Then I saw the video and realized he was being obnoxious, and once they tried to arrest him, he was out of control and pretty much had to be tasered. Now I’m reading the full accounts of what happened thanks to Chad, and now this guy just pisses me off. Whats worse is he was making pretty good points, had legit questions, and was accommodated by Kerry, but totally blew it all by turning the whole thing into a ridiculous and uncalled for scene.
Funny how your opinion can change based on how much the media feeds you.
