The reason this is catchy is because the hook is like a children’s song. Cant you just hear that little riff as “neener neener neener”? Which I suppose is appropriate as that seems to be the level of political discourse anymore. Imagine a world where nuance and complexity are the enemy, and the most complicated ideas have to be constrained to an intellectually lazy yet easy to digest USA Today pie chart. Right! Left! Sith! Jedi! Red! Blue! Cowboys! Indians! EvilDoers! FreedomLovers! Libtards! Conservafucks! Blah blah blah… How long before John Madden is moderating presidential debates? Better pick your team now, so you’ll know what jersey to wear when it happens.

I love the B-side to this single, their Cheney tribute “We love Dick”. Seriously this has to be the gayest “metal” or “headbanging” band ever, it reminds me of christian rock. This song was probably produced under contract for the Dept. of Defense to be played at Bush’s “Mission Accomplished” tough-guy in a flight suit carrier landing stunt a few years ago. As for the message, if I wanted an informed, intelligent opinion on American foreign policy I’d ask my dog before these guys.
