Parents Weekend, Uber Lame

We totally forgot to warn you about parents weekend.  If you were stuck in traffic on Main Street, couldn’t get in any restaurants all day on Saturday or Sunday morning, vent your frustration here.  Sorry we forgot to warn.

Did you suffer?
P.S. Maybe the UVA loss was cVillain’s planned revenge against UVa..we pay off refs, duh.

    I think it’s pretty funny that most of our readers don’t seem to think of Charlottesville as a college town. My criteria: when is every downtown hotel booked? Name 3 non-UVA occasions and I’ll give you move-in, Homecoming, Parents Weekend, the Tech game, Foxfield*, graduation, and Reunion weekend. The Virginia Film Festival is UVA too. (And yes I waited in quite a few lines this weekend.)

    * Not officially UVA but…

    I’m used to living in college towns and I know the bliss of summer break and empty restaurants, but I can’t seem to get into the rhythm here. Probably because I don’t work at the U here like I did back in Indiana.

    I did discover something that was uber hillarious this weekend - Halloween costume bedecked walk of shamers trudging down the corner around 10 AM Sunday, heels in hands and makeup smudged, while freshman and their kin folk stood in line at Bodos to get breakfast… priceless.

    Ladies, it would havbe been subtle if you walk down the street in nothing but his button down shirt - you could at least take off the cat ear headband.
