Fellinis #9= B-list Celeb Hangout?

Wallace ShawnNot to turn this into Perez Hilton, but I’m 90% sure this guy was at Fellinis #9 for brunch yesterday. Was anyone else there yesterday who can back me up?

Also, $4 for 9 pieces of roasted potatoes? Delicious, but still… INCONCEIVABLE!

that would be wallace shawn. as i recall, he lives in or near c’ville. a friend of mine who used to work at the virginian back in the day said shawn used to come in all the time and ordered wings. but he stopped frequenting the VA after they discontinued his favorite app.

He was actually hanging out at Zo-Ca-Lo on Sunday night. He’s actually quite a regular at different establishments on the downtown mall.

Nice! My Dinner With Andre is one of my favorite movies; I would probably drunkenly talk his ear off about it if I ever saw him in public. His partner, Deborah Eisenberg, is an English professor at UVA.

Also, his dad is a super genius, too. Anyone read that Ved Mehta memoir? I bet he’s wishing right now that Norman Mailer did punch him in the face.

He’s totally been into OXO for dinner before. But they thought he was William Macy.

He’s on my all-time A-list. I’d probably start dribbling saliva if I saw him in a restaurant.

I saw him with a woman (I guess Ms. Eisenberg) right outside Fellini’s Sunday, so I will confirm your sighting! He was smiling at me trying to herd my two boys up the street.

I’d love to get a list going of all the celebs (A, B, doesn’t matter) who live in and around C-Ville. Being new to the area, its kinda interesting to me that so many well known people decide to call this place home.

I met Tim the other night, even got his autograph. Jealous much?

Someone told me that Slash bought a house in Glenmore. Could this possibly be true? Lead singer for 80’s hair band Steele Heart is also a confirmed local, and a super cool fellow. Saw what’s his face, Howie Long in Bel Aire market the other day, which isn’t that surprising except for the fact that he is flippin HUGE in real life. He’s like some kind of giant. I felt like I was hallucinating, which also isn’t very surprising, I suppose.

I see Sissy Spacek at Whole Foods like all the damn time. This past Saturday, she was harassing (in a good-natured way, not at all celeb-bitchy) a clerk about their lack of a particular hand sanitizer in a travel size, and had even brought the empty bottle of the brand she wanted to replace. The Whole Foods clerk was like, “You could just get the regular size and fill up that small bottle.”
And Sissy was like, “No that’s ok, I’ll just come back.”
And I was struck that S.S. does not have someone in her life to do these things for her.

Sam Shepard and Jessica Lange used to live I think somewhere in the whole Keswick-Gordonsville-Barboursville triangle, maybe Somerset? I heard a story of him getting so wasted (maybe at C&O?) that some guys there had to drive him home. They left him on the front porch, rang the doorbell and ran/drove off. According to my source, Jessica came out on the porch cursing and beat Sam with a broom as they drove away. This may have happened more than once…
    Just what I heard…

“The Brooming of Sam Shepard”. Pity it was the days before camera phones and youtube, cause that’s good cinéma vérité right there.

Can’t help but picture Waldo on a veranda in the Batt’ry with Rhett and Scarlett, enjoying a mint julip, while typing this…

Rhett: “The Coopah and Ashley seem to be running a little low this season”
Scarlett: “The view to Sumter is especially clear today”
Waldo: “Wally and Deborah maintain a pied-a-terre…”

I worked at Bel-air Market for little bit a when I was in high school.

Dave Mathews = Ednam with no bacon
Tatiyana Ali(Fresh Prince) = Tuna salad with lettuce, tomato, oil & vinegar on wheat bread.

I also made Dave and his family a Crozet Pizza this past Spring with a shit-load of toppings that I don’t remember.

Warren G came into Mellow Mushroom when I worked there.

Hooray for famous people eating food!

dijon, Warren G. Harding came into Mellow Mushroom? Are you sure it was him (ordering pickled peaches AND steamed marmalade on his pizza would be enough evidence for me)? Did he ask where the nearest speakeasy was?

You folks do know who Warren G Harding was and are just messing with me… right? (or is it I who am messing with you?) Just throwing a bone to some of our ‘lurkers’ who like their pop-culture references ‘dated’.
hint dijonbray, he was a member of that band ‘Presidents of the United States’

Ohhhhh righhht. The president! Who could forget Warren G. Harding the former PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!?!? Although, I bet if you went out and asked a hundred people right now, 90 of them would know about the rapper before the president.

Pioneer speakers bumpin’ as I smoke on a pound
I got the sound for yo ass and it’s easy to see
That this DJ be Warren G

Also, he’s only a step-brother to Dr. Dre.

And what did Harding have to do with any anti-trust efforts? If anything he went the other direction with signing the Capper-Volstead act.
