Don’t drunk-dial. Or drink and drive. Let’s see who can write the best/worst post. But it’s gotta be about you and C-ville.
Here’s mine:
I just saw a Sonic commercial for macaroni and cheese bites. Ohsweetjesus where is the nearest Sonic? I don’t think we have one. Then again, I don’t eat fast food so I don’t know. But drinking some White Hall wine and watching TV made me want to go get some deep fried pasta. Ohdeargawd.
Oh and BTW, TV is sooooooo lame except Best Week Ever, The Soup, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Flight of the Conchords. The rest of it makes me want to poke my eyes out. But I bought a fancy HD flat screen from Best Buy on 29 so I gots to actually use it once in awhile.
But I only watch the telly when I’m recovering from going out too much. Did y’all see Sarah White and the Pearls (and that chick from Shentai) at Zinc last night? WOW. I’d heard about her and her friends and they were AWESOME. That’s right, I got my pricey college education but I still describe things as “it rocks” or ” it sucks” or “it’s awesome”. And FYI, the Beaujolais was delicious and non-koolaidy and didn’t suck. Tasted like a Burgundy. So don’t be such a Gamay-hater.
Oh, and saw the Gourds at Gravity Lounge on Tuesday and they didn’t play their cover of “Gin and Juice” but they still rocked. Drank a bottle of wine out of one of their fancy goblet glasses and enjoyed the show. But that’s enough for now. Gotta go help orphaned leper ex-drug addicts now. Psych!
Smell ya later.

I do apologize for not seeing this earlier. I was drunk.
Sarah White and the Pearls and Sian Richards (that chick from Shentai) are AWESOME! Love ‘em.
Sha nay nay, I LOVE IT! If I’d seen it when I came in last night, I probably would have posted about Brad Pitt. It was a late night Legends of the Fall kind of night. I’m lonely. Crap.
They’re building a Sonic right now in Waynesboro, not exactly convenient, but I think the next closest one is in Richmond, so big improvement once its up and rnning. Why this town can support 8 or so McDs but not have one is beyond me…
-Broke rule number one with tragic consequences.
-Flight of the Conchords is the funniest shit I have seen in forever. Ended up watching all of season one in a day. Damn deadpan kiwis, stole my whole day.
-Those orphaned lepers are still using. Crafty bastards.
Doesn’t need to be - even the villain boys who don’t know who Lilith is are lined up to spend time with you!
Oh, forgot- stopped last night on my way home at 3am to see the meteor shower. Don’t remember if its the Leonids or the Perseids this time of year, but it was supposed to peak around 3 to 5 am, so I drove out to Beaver Creek (I think Crozet needs a topless place by that name) and lied on my back in the field for 20 minutes. Only saw a few and then clouds started to roll in and my coat began to succumb to the wetness of the grass. If you missed it, it wasn’t spectacular, as it sometimes is.
I got home from tour, watched football, and fell asleep promptly at 8pm. Woke up at midnight. Now I’m somnambulantly enjoying some Beach Boys on the back porch with a bottle of cheap Chilean wine.
Do I win?
Oh, and dude! You forgot to mention Friday Night Lights, which is excellent and viewable online here.
(P.S. dijonbray is snoring REALLY LOUD right now. I can hear him from outside the house.)
My keyboard needs a breathalyzer…
Poorly parsed proclamation - it implied I was in the know who the Clark Kent is to Lilith’s Superman, so to speak, when it was meant to be a pathetic hook-up line.
How YOU doin’?
sha nay nay , thanks for the mention , yes indeed beaujolais nouveau was a success as we drank 4 cases of vino that night.
merci sha nay nay et a la prochaine
ball routine, notional.
in a wink neat as a rule out discordant byway someone’s cup of tea insurrection hither.
