One of The Hook’s reporters was subpoenaed for her article on that drunk couple and their police treatment. I read the story and I wondered. A commenter, by the name of Chris raising the same questions I had:
1. Why does it appear the reporter was in court representing herself?
2. Why would the judge sidestep her argument and decide it is too early to quash a subpeona?
3. How in the world would her testimony be allowed since she was not there and didn’t witness the arrest? That’s hearsay.
How much are you paying for the VT vs UVA tickets? [WCAV] Looks like the going rate is about $150/pop.

I have a question: Why does The Hook start their article with details of a NYT reporter’s refusal to reveal a source? The Hook reporter’s case (is it a case?) is so vastly different…it seems silly to compare it to that bigger story.
