OurSpace: Opening on Friday Underneath the Tea Bazaar

It’s not myspace, but they do have a myspace.

What is ourspace?

Ourspace is a family friendly environment where everyone is empowered to take initiative and create their own projects; building community thru a supportive web of meaningful relationships that nurture personal growth and happiness.

Looks like a gallery to me. Their message is confusing. Can anyone comment or let us in on the deets?

Be happy to: they’re developing Ourspace as a community center of sorts. I believe the goal is to have a combination event space/safe hangout; they’re using the exhibits more as an grand opening event (though there’ll be more of that in the future most likely). But beyond doing this flyer design I’m not that involved myself, so Kai if you’re haunting around here today feel free to correct me.

Yes. It’s meant to be a non-commercial meeting place. Shows, speakers, hangout, whatever. The description is kinda vague. I think the founders are basically creating a common meeting space and seeing what blossoms.

Very off topic but speaking of galleries and common space it got me thinking of alexandria’s torpedo factory. That would of course include the art leauge auction every year. Does cville have anything like that. If not then they should! With all the local talent it wouldn’t be hard to pull off.
