Tonight is a golden opportunity to join the clique, as villains celebrate Mardi Gras AND Super Tuesday at Escafe. Why is today an important day for regular readers of cVillain.com?
Mardi Gras, like New Year’s and St. Patrick’s Day, is an excuse to drink excessively.
Today, we liberals get to feel more openly smug than usual.

So, if you would like to join the party, come! I assure you standards are not particularly high! To fit in:
Drink something. Anything. Toilet water. We don’t discriminate against libations, just against not drinking them.
Do not bring up Romney’s redeeming qualities. Ron Paul compliments are tolerated.
Treat your DJ with respect. Don’t hold drinks over his equipment, don’t make obnoxious requests or critique the playlist, tips are appreciated. If you have a hot ass and you’re female, you are welcome to shake it, in his general vicinity, at any time.
And yes, I’m joking about the clique. Party starts at 11 officially, but you’ll be alright to come in a little before. Be safe and have fun. All I need, now, is a mask. (And a cheap neon pink feather boa.)

trillian: a friend of mine makes as big of a dent as he can into a fifth of vodka everytime he starts to feel a cold coming on. and i haven’t ever seen him sick in the 7 years that i’ve known him. coincidence? i think not.

When I drank and smoke all the time I never got sick. Now that I don’t smoke and barely drink and get sufficient rest, I get sick all the time.
If you were a germ/virus and your and your future offspring’s life depended on finding a suitable host, you would have avoided my booze and nicotine riddled body too. Why move into a toxic body at Miller’s when a perfectly healthy one is available at ACAC?

@19 Lil. No but I would definitely assume that the “friend” didn’t like me and was trying to dodge me. Definitely. If I later found out that the friend had a serious health problem, I’d feel bad. And I hate when that happens. This past summer I was working on a show and one of the performers was absent for the third day in a row and I totally bitched about it. After my tirade* the producer told me that the performer’s mother was dying** or some such nonsense! God. It’s like people are trying to make me feel bad. Seriously.***

@20 Silmo: I keep imagining a Superbowlesque commercial where someone goes, “Thanks, Bad Virus! You’re so sexy.” then licks the virus’ face off and holds up a product for using up those annual sick days we healthy drinker/smokers see accruing and never get to use.
Airborne is just overpriced vitamins in an interesting marketing package. Buy a bottle of multivitamins and take one every day, take two when you think you might be getting sick.
What is this Dr. Quinn? Seriously, let the guy stay home and rest if he wants. I am certain he can figure it out on his own. What a tragic turn this thread has taken.
@14, the same thing has held true for me, but it’s either really strong (8% ABV or higher) IPAs or whiskey. I haven’t been sick in a long ass time.
