Many of you may know of Beta Bridge the little auto bridge that goes over rail road tracks on Rugby Road. You can drive by it and read about whichever UVA student is having his/her birthday on that given day.
There is a much better place to look at graffiti in Charlottesville. Unless you are a true townie, you would not know that Charlottesville High School has a graffiti wall at the back end of their parking lot. We found out about cornexo’s pictures and loved them. It’s really hard to shoot flat subject matter; I’m sure many photographers can attest to this. Special thanks to him and his flickr page for letting us share these with you. Yep. Well known to the locals. There has always been some good stuff there. I like the fact that it’s always changing. There’s something about vandalism that the kids just can’t resist (even if it’s officially sanctioned vandalsim).

I love the Banksy-inspired stencil-style graffiti. There are several good pieces like that on the walls at Ben Around, mostly in Jon’s space and towards the back, but nonetheless…
