Well, The Hook offered up this piece of information on the Pub Crawl:
The following night, the 15th, there’s a St. Patty’s Day Pub Crawl to benefit the AIDS/HIV Services Group. Basically, it involves showing up at Zinc around 7pm to buy a special green hat at the door for $20 and then moving on to Oxo, Mono Loco, Zocalo, and the X-Lounge.

Then March 13th, the Hook wrote an article about the pub crawl. Basically it involved stringing together just enough words to be marginally informative, without mentioning anything interesting. The only thing especially green about this article was the possibly jealous motive that lead to the deliberate omission of the event organizers.
Easy, you guys. They might get mad and turn it inot a Pub Brawl. Sweet… hookers v villains. I’ll bring the pudding.

Its been discussed, and then ignored, much as “the little birdie mascot’s” name. Pity, really.
Though I wonder if some enterprising Villain has taken it upon himself to get that project rolling anyway. Maybe someone with some design knowledge, a recreated vector art file, too much time on his hands, knowledge of “stickerguy.com”, and a subversive streak a mile wide? No one comes to mind, but maybe…

byo: i could easily be persuaded to take 15 minutes to create buttons on cafepress if given even a jpeg to work with…they’re not super fancy, but they’re relatively cheep (like the budgie).

sorry byo, just thinking in the imediate and frugal. i’ve used CP for a number of events over the last few years and jpegs are fine for small stuff like buttons. vectors rule for scalability, however.

You need to take the art I send you and email it to the sticker guy with some money and ask for one inch black and white circular stickers on a roll in any quantity you desire, they’re dirt cheap. Then you need to put $2,000 in non sequential 20’s in a brown paper bag and await my call for further instructions.
I just figured we threw the shocker around here, as a gang symbol.

So I take it it’s gonna rain during our beer parade. Maybe we starlight express can donate a bus so we don’t get wet hiking from bar to bar. I’m particualrly concerned about treking from Oxo to Mono Loco. I also would love to drive Zocalo. Oh and I think we should crash all the bars that declined to particpate in our attempt to support AIDS. We won’t buy anything, just clamor into the restaurant, use the bathrooms, and leave. Who’s in?
