Broken Water Main by Quarry Park

A little birdie explains:

There’s a huge busted water main over by Quarry Park. Lots of city guys standing around.

So, can someone get pictures of the action and send them in?!

Correction: It’s actually a 30″ sanitary sewer. The problem is a big one resulting from all the rain we’ve gotten lately. The city does have a large crew on hand and plans to work through the night to repair the sewer. They’ve got the situation under control.

I put up some shots on thedalydose.com

I talked to a few of the workers and locals and apparently the smell was terrible for the first couple hours. It was a broken sewer main – not a water main. Nasty stuff. Apparently it was a sinkhole that caused the pipe to burst.

They wouldn’t let me close to the sinkhole “without a hard hat on.”
