A little birdie sends this in:
My coworker had her car broken into while at the Springsteen concert last night. She was parked in the Barracks Road shopping center. Was there a rash of burglaries during the concert last night?
I checked the police report and there were only a handful of thefts reported, but did anyone experience otherwise?

Why would looters be hanging around at a Springsteen show?
maybe it was people enforcing the “no off-site event parking” at barracks rule.
Fortunately, when the thief tried to break into scowly’s car, his anti-theft dash cam kicked on, revealing a horrible truth.
Man I knew times were tough amongst aging rockstars… what with all the reunion tours and everything, but seriously, this is too much.
/scowly cracks the case once again!
omfg the Boss even took the steering wheel..
Times must be tuff
No news about looters, but i have an antecdote. We were at Continental Divide yesterday and this group of six”Boss” concert-goers asked us to scoot to the other end of the bar so they could all sit together.(They were taking up the majority of the bar space) And we were ok with that…except they ordered COKES!! call me upatriotic but WTF
You are unpatriotic, yayi.
@5: That’s bullshit. Don’t take up the bar if you’re not even drinking.
And you’re not supposed to park at Barracks Road while at JPJ jackass. Those of us actually shopping there would like to park.
oh no laura shebranigans, i must disagree with you on this one. I wholeheartedly agree with parking at Barracks to go to JPJ, Scott Stadium or U-Hall. It’s too sweet: free parking, no one ever gets ticketed or towed cuz there’s no way to tell who’s shopping for 3 hours versus who’s rocking out to Van Halen for 3 hours. Plus that’s parking lot is so big I’ve never seen it full except during events and during Christmas shopping, which probably totals less than 2 dozen days a year that it’s full. Let’s use that lot to its fullest potential.
Bullshit, my Nuva LaScrape. I went to go tanning one night after work and the parking lot was full of cars of cowgirl-boot-wearing hoes heading over to see Keith Urban. I had to park behind a dumpster. Don’t fucking take the parking away from customers.
How come they don’t tow at Barracks Road if you are not supposed to park there?I got towed from the parking lot in front of South Street early on Saturday morning cause I forgot the City market was there and I was drunk and took a cab home. I HATE two trucking companies (especially lethal), but it was MY fault for being a Hairlipper… this town has too many god damn people here now!
How come they don’t tow at Barracks Road if you are not supposed to park there?
Apart from putting a window shade in your car that says “I’m not shopping, I’m at a JPJ event!”, how are they supposed to know if you’re not supposed to be there?
Apparently they have security people out looking for inappropriately dressed people. Anyone without a blonde bob, pearl studs and head to toe Talbots is highly suspect. Those cowboy boot wearing ho’s that Shen spotted didn’t stand a chance.
@11 Thurston… bastards bastards bastards.You try and do the right thing, and avoid mowing down throes of innocent bystanders in your bladdered state, and what do you get….. a giant arse ache and a big fine.
There should be the equivalent of the Monopoly ‘Get Out of Jail Free’ card that you put on the dash that reads “It was either leave it here or T-bone a minivan containing your family.” Emotive enough?
Floozy is a great moniker! I like it!
It’s not a moniker, it’s my real name.
/My Mom had vision
LATEST ON THE BARRACKS ROAD BREAK-INS!!!!
Just heard on the vine that every car that was robbed last night had their Bruce Springsteen CD’s removed from their stereos……………………. and some decent fucking music was put in it’s place.
@17: Floozy, really?1 awesome. i think i love you. (sorry for being so forward, but that post melted my heart like butter on a black plate in the sun on a warm day).!
/born in the (usa)wrong time, wrong radio, wrong place…boss, no gud).amen.
@17. Now that’s unpatriotic.
Actually, maybe its just a coincidence but I work at the hospital (not too far from JPJ) and my truck did get broken into and they stole my camera and stole my beloved foxfield pictures I had yet to upload….many hours of good photos, gone! :0(
@20
I live just a few blocks from the hospital and both of my cars were broken into about a week ago. The officer that took my report said that there had been a pretty major increase in car break-ins lately. He said it happens every year when the weather turns warm at night.
