Is it just me or does Charlottesville seem crazy dead this week? I know all hell is going to break loose in the upcoming graduation week, but the downtown mall seems so empty. What gives?! This weekend seemed pretty slow to me too.
Possible explanations:
1. Zombies are starting to take over the city.
2. UVa is shutdown.
3. The weather has given everyone a cold.
4. I am on crazy pills.

There were a lot of weddings this past weekend, so I think a lot of people ended up spending their weekend nights at Receptions and Rehearsal Dinners.
Zombies ate my crazy pills!
It’s definitely Zombies. We had one come into OXO late Saturday night and try to eat orchid.
Well, at least the zombies have good taste.
Weather. Everyone seems to stay inside, around here, when it rains.
Or maybe everyone was in Texas crashing Jenna’s wedding to the UVA Darden boy.
/pass the crazy pills
Thor, did the downtown mall look like this the last time you were there?
Obviously it is 4 (and clearly you’ve been watching too many zombie movies).
5. Radiohead was at Nissan.
Link to the full story behind that photo Thor chose. Pretty cool stuff.
I want to do that!
Did anyone go to Radiohead this weekend?
Beach Week.
@10 You can find all sorts of fun electronics modification information here.
How about some Monday afternoon lego porn then?
Warning… Lego Miscellaneous contains gratuitous bestiality
@14: Rule 34 strikes again.
The possibilty of a new Apple store is just too much for most downtowners
It’s a bit quiet because I’m spreading the Gospel according to St. Tuffy across the Italys. It’s like Charlottesville here, but with more cigarettes and less Blue Light Grille (thank G! The latter immediately reduces the date rape and hair gel sales by no less than 71% compared to the Ville).
wedding to go to saturday.
sunday driving through onsoons to and from a poorly attended double show of my favorits touring band, monsoon upon returning. most of the way.
/quiet before the storm
mmmmm…. Bread for Zombies. Put some sweetbread in one of those, and satisfy your zombified cravings, or scare the shit out of your loved ones. Fun for all ages. Maybe.
Street…. that website is brill… did you see the hairdryer that looks like a gun?I WANT IT NOW.
/Veruca Salt voice obligatory
Don’t make me summon Willie and dip you in chocolate, Floozy. Yah, I heart that site. The eyeball tattoo is utterly creepy.
brill? Oh, boy….
leave me outta this
Butt out Veruca…. Street may be about to commit a Class 6 felony on me so can we have some privacy please.
The Body Part Bread is kinda funny. But gross. The Hairdryer gun is totally fucked up. Some of us have lost family members to guns to the noggin and don’t really think that making a joke of it is particularly funny.
@19–very very cool. you should check out the cakes on the left hand side of this website:

(be sure to look at the eyeball cordial cherries among the zombie pics)
