Motown at Cassis tonight

A couple of friends of mine will be setting the mood at Cassis tonight. Here’s their blurb:

Jerome and the Thunder Progeny are reviving the sound of Motown tonight (Thursday) at 9:30 at Cassis. No Cover! As always, we’ll be playing Motown and Afro Pop, but NEW this week, will be the sounds of the 80s and 90s, the ones that we all loved growing up.

Definitely swing by and check it out.

    OR you could have drinks and watch LIVE music at the ballroom tonight, cuz you won’t be able to that pretty soon.

    and cuz truman sparks,the nice jenkins, the cinnamon band, marshall costan, and the invisible hand are playing for cheap. and there’s an interview with truman sparks posted at cvillemuse — and you should read it.

    Oh man, tonight (5/23 Friday) I dined outside at Orzo, and there was a surf rockabilly band practicing in the top floor of the furniture shop. And you were great. They even had the wherewithal to start to play Herbie Hancock’s ‘Chameleon’ but alas…it never developed. WHO ARE YOU GUYS AND WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO PLAY A SHOW OUT?
