I was walking home today, and was diverted to a new route because 9th Street in front of Buford Middle School as been blocked off, and cops are everywhere. Even one of the local news stations was setting up. That can’t be good. I asked an officer on the scene for some information, but he was not allowed to offer any details other than the fact that something had happened at the school. I have a bad feeling about this.

I don’t think anythingn actually happened at the school. I found this.
@1 - …except that happened yesterday afternoon / evening. That wouldn’t explain something that’s happening right now.
They could still be investigating.
the good news is that the school year ended last week, and it’s too early for summer school, so no students would have been at Buford.
Yeah, I saw the news report last night at 11. That really bothers me. If I had left work on time instead of a few minutes late, I might have witnessed the crime, or even been the victim. I hope they catch the attacker. To be honest, I hope it was a fight between two people that know each other as opposed to some sort of mugging/robbery.
There’s still blood on the sidewalk there :-/
my guess is it has something to do with a tornado.
wow. rough few days in that neighborhood. shooting on 6 1/2 st last week, stabbing/shooting yesterday evening, and im almost certain a homeless guy died in the parking lot of the sunshine mart (near cherry & 9th) yesterday around lunch. apparently he had been drinking wine out in the sun since 6 am. say what you will about winos, but im really torn up about that one.
Darn, I wonder which wino it was. I’ve seen practically all of them in the neighborhood. I’d probably recognize him. I want to know more about this because I live 100 feet from where the stabbing happened. I can’t find any more info on the local media outlets.
@9
Lighter note… once we all have iPhones and the little GPS buddy finder thing… I think we’re going to figure out that half of the cVillains live within a quarter mile of Cherry Avenue.
Howdy neighbor.
Not me!
ethan- seems like it was self-inflicted.

Could it have something to do with the demolition of Smith Pool, which is slated to begin this week?
I guess I’m glad that it was self-inflicted. I’d hate to think my neighborhood became bad enough that people would shoot and stab each other at 5 o’clock in the afternoon.
@10 Well, Fifeville is the new Belmont! I don’t think many cvillains actually live on Prospect.
