Does this mean that’s all there is? See, I am not american so I don’t know any better but it seems to me this should be an opportunity to get wasted, perhaps dance and maybe even find someone to celebrate with. Fireworks alone won’t do. So is this really all americans do? Watch fireworks? If so how does that become debauchery, because I though that’s what off days are all about?
Maybe I missed another thread….
i am american, and i can tell you that i don’t think i’ve ever considered doing anything in that list.
here’s a good bet: get a bushel of crabs and 10 friends, and make a mess out of somebody’s backyard with beer, fire, and crab shells. even shenanigans will eat them (crabs, not shells). when it comes time to blow shit up, which is all the time, do it yourself with bottle rockets, @comment 1 in the “p(ar)laying with matches” thread.
then wave an american flag around and do a rebel yell. you’re under arrest.
parlie, it’s exceedingly ungentlemanly to suggest that you’re going to give any commenter, let alone the indelible shenanners, crabs. For shame, good sir.
@2: while crabs may be the end result of debauchery, I highly doubt they’re ever the beginning.
i didn’t think you guys would take the crab joke! i didn’t think you’d do it! BUT YOU DID!
LOOK AT YOU!
LU SID. Well done review!
i didn’t think you guys would take the crab joke!
What is this, your first day on the job?
Oh. Wait. You were kidding. I see.
Lu Sid, great post. Now go enjoy your weekend of freedom
Thanks guys.
@1: All the things posted are necessarily fireworks. Check out the links - most involve alcohol, running around, food, rides, and parades.
Have a Happy 4th All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@2, 3, 4, 5: I wanted the crabs joke, but I was gone, so all I have is this.
/You can trust my image links. I learned my lesson.
My link didn’t work.

@2 - are these the kind of bottle rockets you use?
