Giant Crane Invades the Downtown Mall!

crane charlottesville

I think I watched the construction of this crane for almost an hour a few days ago.  Coolest thing to happen to Charlottesville in a long time. Isn’t this the biggest object in Charlottesville, ever?

I put a slideshow after the break.

Don’t even waste your time Flooze. Kyle tried to take a sick day to go watch the crane, and danpri fired him.

The crane is being installed to speed the delivery of Everyone’s Favorite Hot Dog(TM).

Danpri had every right to fire him. I took over his job. I am a woman – so I do it better.

Those pictures are very, very cool. Thanks for posting them. I’m bitterly jealous that I didn’t see it myself. That orange crane is MONSTROUS.

And the whole thing has a faint air of a particularly large ride being assembled at a midway, like the Albemarle County Fair.
