La Taza Got Robbed

A birdie sends in the following:

la taza was broken into last night.a substantial amount of cash was taken from a secret hiding place ….or not so secret it would seem. This is 100 kosher information. 

We didn’t do any journalism, so its just a rumor.  But, it is from a reliable source, so we think it’s true.

    Yeah, he’s a ballplayer. After making a comeback from drug addiction, he participated in the Home Run Derby last night. Normally someone hits about 5-10 homeruns in their turn. He broke the record of 24 by hitting 28 in his first round (off of his 71 year old high school coach). It was an amazing showcase of hitting, and a great feel-good story of a man making good on his life.

    Until he lost in the final round to someone who only hit a total of 22 over three rounds and is a Canadian. So yeah, he got robbed.

    Okay, back to real life…

    My secret hiding place was always behind the wicker laundry hamper in the linen closet.
