A birdie just sent in this craigslist ad which puts the Italian Deli up for sale for $120,000 :

Italian Deli for sale on Main Street, in the heart of the UVA campus. Across from UVA Hospital. Great walk-in and catering business

We don’t know why this is for sale, but the rumor is Pacino’s didn’t make enough money.

    I talked to the guy in a bar a few weeks ago. It didn’t seem like he was going to close, but it seemed like he was having a hard time. He said Christian’s took a lot of the lunch crowd away and he was introducing a $5 sub to bring people back. It is a pretty expensive lunch place. I went once; it cost me almost $10 for a cheesesteak and a soda, and there wasn’t even a side to it. No thanks, I’ll keep Cafe Europa.

And while not having a boss is great you need to be ready for brutal hours and a fickle base in that area.

    (I am presuming his comment aimed at 4 was actually aimed at 5, and that one of 1-3 was posted pending approval, which always changes the numbers, unfortunately. See also Stanley’s comment aimed at 5. Very frustrating aspect of the software…)

    My comment was aimed at #5 when #5 was heddy hotdog’s comment (currently #6). Then a moderated comment showed up, and the numbering system went all to hell.
