Happy Labor Day Weekend! Put your white shoes away, grab your beer, ditch the boss, and party it up for three days

I hope to catch a few villains while I am out and about Cville this weekend. Checkout some of the great events lined up for this weekend. As usual let us know what we missed!
First and foremost, are you ready for some football?! This is the first official weekend of college football! UVA plays USC at 3:30 p.m. (home game) and VTech plays East Carolina at noon (away game) on Saturday. Get a seat at the Stadium or stool by the bar, it’s football season.

Finally, Tuesday has alerted me that Zo Ca Lo will be debuting an Echo cocktail. I am sure he will be there tonight enjoying his drink in full form. This may just be the way to start off your fabulous three day weekend.

I get to work too many hours for not enough money and then lay around exhausted. Yay weekend!
@4: Tonight or tomorrow?
Both. And you wonder why I’m always cranky when I see you.
You weren’t cranky Tuesday, and I never hold it against you when you’re cranky and working.
Yay! No gigs for a whole weekend!
Boo! I have to be up at 6:30am both sat and sun…
*sigh*
No gigs?! What’s a weekend with esc trying to make people dance?
@8: Hey byo, I’m pretty certain one of thie week’s weekly wipers has you listed as gigging tonite at escafe. I presume it’s safe to assume that’s an error? Either that or I had one too many tequilas before I read the papers.
It’s DJ Cadence @ Escafé tonight
Me and Cadence alternate fridays at the snatchateria.
Tom Deluca is also going to be at UVa at 5:30… If you feel like watching students doing ridiculous things. It is generally really packed though
Working for Spicey Bear must be nice because Lu Sid has been on vacation for like a month and a half.
The Pollocks tonight at Zinc , free show starts around 10:30pm

man, frenchy’s got digital deja vu
Sounds a bit fishy to me but I hear they play a good tuna if a bit heavy on the bass… I’ve heard it may be the plaice to be if the fun on the mall is scaled back.
Yours,
Alfred
So the echo drink was delicious, but since I had a good buzz when I showed up and was drunk when I left, I don’t remember all of the ingredients. All I know is it was mostly tequila, and I couldn’t have anymore because they ran out of white cranberry juice. I do remember it being quite potent, as well it should be. I’ll be back tomorrow or Thursday for another round or 8, so maybe I can provide more details later, assuming I remember. In the meantime, go try it for yourself.
@19, having also tried it many times myself (often with you) I have to concurr that the echo combo (I still think echo-holic is a better name) is equally delicious and potent. Joya is glorious and so are her drinks!
@20: You weren’t there Friday for my drink. You’re thinking of Joya’s combination.
Oh boo, what’s different about yours? Is it still Mezcal and do you still get dibs on the worm?
Mine is completely different. It’s tequila, but I’m not sure if it’s Mezcal. You should come with me next time I go, and you can try it for yourself.
I’ll take the worm whenever it’s offered, but I don’t think I have dibs on it.
When are you going next? I have a friend coming to town this weekend and there’s another football game, so we’ll see. If you’re not sure if it’s Mezcal, then it’s probably not…Mezcal is so strong, I find it very easy to recognize. And idk if I can be drinking tequila much more, I had an allergic reaction to it Sunday and almost died.
/not quite, but it felt like I was going to
//love tequila so much I might die for it
@20 echoholic is a GREAT name!
@25, thanks so much, probably the most original thought Ive had in 10 years
/alcohol brings that out of me
@24 Was that on the river?
@27 no, it was afterward when we were taking shots downtown
