Weekend Preview: Too Much To Do (but you might need to get a sweater)

 sweater charlottesville

We’ve got a serious weekend ahead of us.  It’s almost too serious in that there is no way you could possibly do all the things.  From music festivals, to art, to sheep dog trials, we’ve got the simple way to preview the weekend.  Oh and 72 degree days and 50 degree nights are forecast all weekend long.  Don’t forget to check cvilleMUSE. It’s all after the break.

First Fridays [info]

Starting off, we have First Fridays which let’s you see a bunch of artists in local galleries and restaurants.  Cortney has done an extensive preview of the event with a bunch of pictures.  If there is no Friday’s After Five, this is your opportunity to enjoy the pretty day and start your libations early.

Fall Fiber Festival of Virginia [info]

This Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 5 and 10 to 4, you can get your herd on (bad pun).  Seriously, check out the list of exhibitors.  You can buy wool sweaters, watch dogs compete at herding sheep, get some yarn and get a lot of hand knit stuff. If anyone wants to take pictures, let us know and we’ll feature them on the site.

Crozet Music Festival [info]

If you remember last year, the festival seriously messed up by separating the beer drinking area from the music area (I can’t find the article).  This year, that’s been FIXED!  Hell ya. Enjoy the festival on Saturday and Sunday.

Other Things

- UVA Football Game on Saturday against Maryland.  Look for another loss and depression at UVA.

-  Let us know what we missed.

And since I’m here, I will note that when I adopted my dog, I promised him that I’d never make him wear clothes, costumes, etc. (Tho I might make an exception for a life jacket if we’re out on the water.) Of course, unlike the sparking clean puffball in the picture above, my dog has a layer of dirt on him to keep him warm.

ok, figuring ya’ll can’t rely on what’s an appropriate time for me to be, except “late”, whatever that means, and since I’m almost always “late”, it works for me.

@5 - can’t figure out what you mean about that. While I admire Ms. Rogan for her persistence and grand vision, thought Oakandchoke tasted like cow piss.
