Gas Outage in Western Charlottesville

You probably already know about this if you are affected…

A CONTRACTOR DOING UTILITY WORK AT ROUTES 250 AND 29 HAS HIT A 4 INCH GAS LINE CUTTING OFF GAS TO 400 RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES IN BOAR’S HEAD, NORTHRIDGE, AND FARMINGTON AREAS.  THERE IS NOT SAFETY CONCERN DUE TO THIS OUTAGE BUT RESIDENTS CAN EXPECT TO BE WITHOUT GAS HEAT AND HOT WATER FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE AFTERNOON.

UTILITY REPRESENTATIVES NEED TO TURN METERS BACK ON INDIVIDUALLY AT EVERY LOCATION SO RESIDENTS SHOULD EXPECT A WORKER TO BE IN THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD UNTIL THE GAS IS RESTORED.

WE APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE DURING THIS UNEXPECTED OUTAGE CAUSED BY THE CONTRACTOR.  IF YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS YOU CAN CALL THE GAS DIVISION AT 977-3800.
