Barf. That’s one of those songs that pisses you off when it’s stuck in your head.

Hmm. Sounds like she sings about her special feelings a lot. Maybe I’ll do some journaling, go to to my quiet me-space, and really soul search on whether or not I am in a strong enough emotional space to confront such insight and self reflection. I could use some chicken soup for the soul, but I want to avoid a reflective shame spiral if at all possible. Im just going through a fragile time right now.

Dear Sara, I’m glad you’re not gonna write me a love song. Your songwriting sucks hard.

Perhaps we could all write to her and ask her to write us all “a love song, because we asked for it”.

    /we can has cvillain raids?

I’m gonna write a song about not writing a song.

Is that irony? Maybe she’s a GENIUS!

    /song still blows tho

Dear Sara, listen not to the naysayers- for they are most in need of a love song. I think it wonderful that you are doing a free show. I enjoy your song, like your voice, and enjoy your lyrics- it makes me smile. In this world of mass produced, autotuned, nonsense yours is a refreshing break. Have someone tell you about all the musical acts that have played in Mem gym before you like Chuck Berry, Duke Ellington, and countless others.
If nothing else we have a lot of history here

Please enjoy Charlottesville and most of it’s citizens.

@7. I think I just threw up a bit on my computer. Thanks for mentioning Chuck Berry and Duke Ellington, among others, with Sara Bareilles in the same breath. Level pegging indeed, way to go.

If you could read, I was simply talking about who had appeared there not where anyone ranks. It also says ask someone about the history. But you go ahead and be uber hip and hold disdain for a successful musician who does a free concert. Because we all know how frickin’ easy the music business is. Great contribution, now return to your sub basement and prepare for the upcoming Metallica concert.

    I know, nobody gets you.

Perhaps I do like sucky music, I’m OK with it. I like many types of music from original singer song writers, mali guitar players, Funky jazz, what belmont yo does and many others. Mostly I rarely make fun of a real musician even I don’t like their music.

I hated this song till I found out she started in a college A Capella group and then for some reason I loved it.

dieter, thanks for summarizing all that. You’ve helped me get me. You are a saviour! And! I just learned how to read yesterday in my “sub basement”, so thanks for bringing that up. If you think my disdain for the “successful” soon to be “VH1 where are they now” artist Sara B. has something to do with her having a free show, you are certainly smoking the crack-pipe. I was merely commenting on her songwriting as it sucks terribly. Thanks for bestowing your anti-hipster stereotypical remarks on me, you’ve blessed me with your knowledge. I’m sure you also work in the music industry, like me, so I’ll write you off as opinionated and a lover of a habitual sh!tty taste in music. Way to be.

Hey, glad I could help. Since you work in the industry, I know how bitter that can make you. Watching others you think are less talented then you go on to great success must just leave you bereft of compassion for anyone else that might choose a different path. Because your taste is without question correct and it is dullards like me that make life on earth a living hell for one that possess the gift of flawless taste and perfect taste.

As I said before ,I’m sorry no one gets you.

Wow. So let’s recap shall we. Because I don’t like your musical taste, you’ve made up lame stabs at my reading skill(z), musical talent, living situation (sub basement living, whatever the F that means), capacity for compassion, musical taste (fair enough), and more. You’re on a fucking roll, please keep going since you know me oh so well.

All of this because I threw in some sarcasm/opinion on songwriting and your musical taste. You sure like making things pretty personal, considering you don’t know shit. You can continue on thinking about some lame come-back attempts while listening to “Love Song” alone and other forms of contrived, non-interesting butt-rock. Thanks for being such a sad little shit, you’ve really made a mountain out of a mole-hill…Also, thanks for this bit of blogosphere entertainment. You are a gem of a person. I hope you have a great weekend.

Wah3 you beg for fight when it was brought back to you acted pissed. I mean your name says it all. If someone says something that isn’t true what do you care- it’s the freakin interwebs. And you reading skills do seem lacking. Dieter, people like to tear down stuff – just get over the haters. I’m not a fan of hers but I see your larger point. Why come and scream “you suck” if that’s all you got.

I work in the music industry and I think she sucks. Dieter, that’s very noble of you, but people are allowed to not like music just as much as you are allowed to like it. Everything’s relative. Wahwahwah let’s hang out and amke fun of people. Cuz they like dumb shit. And everyone knows Dieter is an albino CIA agent so get with it.
@20: everyone usually is better in person. You’re lucky to have experienced that.
