Albemarle County Crime Analysis

For those of you who dont think mapping out the addresses of convicted sex offenders in your area is enough ( http://sex-offender.vsp.virginia.gov/sor/ <- for those of you who haven’t already ) I present you with crime analysis of Albemarle County based on the 500 (reported) crimes committed between January 1st and May 11th.

The vast majority of these crimes were theft crimes, making any analysis of the types of crimes committed pretty irrelevant. The focus here is location. Find yourself … or, find your crime if you are a villain in every sense of the word.

I hope this has helped cure the insomnia of the worried… Unless you live on East Rio road in which case you should probably move… Enjoy

99% of that E. Rio crime I would guess is either Mallside Apts or Pen Park Lane.

there’s been a run lately of someone(s) going to city/county parks and smashing windows of unattended cars to grab purses/ipods, etc., while folks are off mountainbiking or swimming or whatever. Sugar Hollow, Chris Greene, Walnut Creek.

        1. Who accepts money that smells like baby shite?
        2. What the hell can a kid still in diapers ‘Discover’? They are lumps of clay with eyes and arseholes.

… and older brothers and sisters perhaps? It’s a quaint set-up called a ‘family’ I believe.
Anyway, several Mom’s have been violated by someone rummaging in their Kate Spade.Apparently there is a camera set up in the coat room and Cville Polizei are reviewing the tapes….whoops.

can’t you just leave the inanimate one(s) in some sort of containment system (an old fridge or a cooler?) at home, and take the ones capable of human perception out in public?

coolio to the police tape-review. would love to see those. conniving burglar looking over shoulder sticks hand in bag. facial expression changes. removes hand from bag sticky-dripping-brown.

Apparently there were 30 plus cars broken into in the early morning hours of June 10th. My GPS was stolen and at least two others on my street had their cars broken into. The detective handling the investigation told me they had been busy all morning and he estimated his total cases at 15-20 and his partner carried the same load.

Now I come home from being out of town and three packages that arrived while I was gone have been stolen off my front porch.

    I quit

Infuriating indeed. The little pecker heads that did this need to be caught.

Neighborhoods affected include Rose Hill and Forest Hills as mentioned in this article.

I can vouch for break ins in the Frye Springs / Willoughby areas.
