How best to recover after our blowout party tomorrow night, then with a little comedy to help soothe our hangovers. Two different events will be kicking off this Thursday (September 17th).
- Comedy Night With Doug Powell @ Revolutionary Soup – On The Corner: 8:30 – $5 [Facebook Info] (Also Friday @ the DT Mall location)
- Event Cancelled: Moloprov Cocktail By The Bent Theater @ Rapture: 8-9:30PM – Free [Facebook Info]
- Geeks Who Drink @ Rapture Tonight 8-10PM – Free [Info]
I’ve never attended an event by the Bent Theater, but I’ve heard they are amazing, and I regret missing their Improv of Star Wars. Any Villains caught either performance before, or plan on heading out for these?

It’s like weekend previews for every day of the week.
Any takers on how long he keeps it up, er… rather, how long he continues the current amount of event listings before he burns out?
Event listings are easy, it’s these damnable long winded articles I’m trying to find time to write that are killin me. That’s why we are working on finding other authors/editors to help out. Interested?
Its easier when you actually respond to emails…
/just sayin.
Please note: The Moloprov Cocktail event has been canceled. Geeks Who Drink is back again this week however, so get out there and show off.
Has anyone been to the geeks who drink? Any good?
We had a good time last week. If you consider yourself a Geek, definitely check it out. We had a small crew (3) that grew to five ish by half way through, and then dwindled in the closing rounds. The questions ranged from the definition of a .pdf file, to ‘what movie is Al Pacino screaming in’, with sound clips of his rants. It’s definitely the best trivia in C’ville, and I’ve played them all.
With all the quips and verbal sparring on this site, we should form a team.
Hmmm…..
Prizes are $25, $15, & $10 certificates, and libations for round winners. I can’t make it tonight, but I’ll be there next week.
McGrady’s has reduced their top trivia payout to $25, as well. Still goes pretty far against a tab there, but you used to be able to cover drinks for the table.
Speaking of which, I used the Restaurant.com coupon there without the least issue. Good post.
$10 certs for $0.40 wasn’t it? It’s killer. I just wish you could get a certain value of drinks included, but they certainly have to cover costs. Has anyone ever tried Anderson Carriage Food House? And they just added Coupe De Ville’s, but who has ever eaten @ there?
I’ve purchased food at Anderson’s to cook elsewhere, and it was great. I don’t know if the coupon can be applied toward grocery though.
Too long and too drunk since Coupe’s, but my post-UVA brother that comes back for games eats there when he’s in town. That’s either an endorsement for the eternal superfrat or the food might be pretty good.
so the coupon is only for food, no beer that went along with that food? damn.
anderson’s smells so bad when you walk in, i don’t see how anyone could eat anything from there. they catered an event at school that ran out of food 10 minutes after it started. how is it so hard to make enough bbq & baked beans? big jim’s & mel’s could handle it, & mel’s desserts were awesome.
Big Jim’s is DOA, isn’t it?
WTF is that smell? It’s like fresh soil or something. I felt like I was in a fucking grave. srsly
