Club Villain – Mas Wrap

So we wrapped our second Club Villain event last Thursday, and Mas really went out of their way to give us a sampling of a few new items.  We saw a couple familiar faces from previous parties, and welcomed a few new ones to the tables.  Leave your thoughts below regarding the food, drinks, and atmosphere!

Someone below will also be a lucky winner and return for free!

Pulling another random number from random.org (which seems to be favoring low numbers this afternoon). I’ll notify you how to pick this up. Congrats.

I attended the Mas Club Villain event and had a blast.

    Some bullet points:
-I concur that advanced notice would be nice, at least a day to plan ahead. However, the food and drink specials were AMAZING!!!!
-Important to have a little something before you go because Mas is really expensive on the regular, but I was very impressed with the sausage and bacon wrapped octopus offered on the $2 specials menu
-All the drink specials were $2 as well. I tasted both the Cava and the Mas Tea. Both drinks are normally $6-7, but we had a very satisfying buzz for $10 worth of alcohol a piece
    -Crowded
-I did not enjoy that there was no service on the patio. Mas is normally very crowded and we had to wait ~40min to get seated to enjoy the specials

The outside seating was my fault, I didn’t check if they were fully serving outside before I sat down.

So, am I hearing that the ‘day of’ notification may not be the best option? Would you prefer to know ahead of time the location of these events?

Sounded like fun but Mas with more than 4 people is a fucking nightmare and a half on a Thursday-Saturday night.

We have the option to use the entire downstairs next time, but I thought it would be best to just mix it up with the crowd upstairs.

i promise to more carefully control the seating options/ weather next time. as part of my winter strategy we would like to host more of these informal crushes as long as shenanigans attends. i have disciplined the annoying employees who made that seating decision and burned all their crops.see you at metallica -

Sweet. Could you make it warm all week? I don’t particularly like the looks of the forecast for the next few days.

sorry i just made it out the JPJ steam tunnels. it must have been that corndog. . . my bad. cabrito coming back, i was waiting for an appropriate sacrificial day – the day of the Metallica show was perfect. lots of warm blood for sale at JPJ to go with the $40 teeshirts and $7 lite beers. and yes we’ve been getting some shrimp as big as Thor’s Hammer (if you know what i mean) and serving them as a non-trendy option to balance out all the Thievery music. along with fresh blood nothing says freaking tapas like piquillo pepper sauce slathered on yours truly but you have to lick fast because it burns alot.

That is a good point Orchid. I have gone there on several occasions where I will request an item only to be told that it is no longer available :( I appreciate that the menu is constantly changing around, allows us to try new things, but I’d like to know what’s going on first!

you request things that aren’t on the paper menu? that’s dumb.
i like the online menu for entertainment.

but not updating it pales in comparison to this closing at 11 on a saturday & not letting me have dessert bullshit.
