Boylan Heights, the upscale gourmet burger bar on the corner, is hosting the first in a series of “Party With A Purpose” events tomorrow December 1st (World AIDS Day), to benefit The AIDS/HIV Services Group of Charlottesville. 10% of your lunch or dinner check will be donated to the ASG, as long as you have a Red Party event flier (print out from here or pickup from your server/bartender). They will also be donating proceeds from the sale of red ribbons ($5.00), which will give patrons access to drink specials throughout the evening. Everyone is also encouraged to wear red in support of AIDS awareness. [Info]

Will they turn on anti-aliasing when saving their graphic as a gif so that the text can be read over transparency?
Cause that would be cool too.
Improved (as much as possible). Thanks for pointing that out, as I didn’t note the odd transparency issue initially.
I suppose this would be a good place to let you all know that there will be free HIV testing done by the University of Virginia Medical Center tomorrow (Dec. 1) 10a.m.-2p.m. [More info]
You villains that may need tested know who you are.
Thanks to all of those who have come out for lunch in support of this worthy cause. ASG will be at UVa the remainder of today providing free HIV testing. We hope to see the rest of you tonight at Boylan for dinner or afterwards as we want to raise a good deal of money for ASG today and show them Charlottesville cares about their work and the cause. Thanks! -BH
