In recognition of our upcoming Charlottesville Vegetarian Festival I’d like to find out what Villains think the best vBurger is in all of Charlottesville.  So we are proposing a competition to determine the best offerings Charlottesville has out there, and crown a champion.

The Rules:

1. Must contain a vegetable based ‘patty’.
2. Must have round ‘burger bun’ style bread.
3. Must comply with Ovo-Lacto-Vegetarian standards.

We will assemble a panel of completely dissimilar judges, and try out the top three chosen below.  Only one of which will become the UVBC.

It’s amazing just how personalized MSN can get.  Late at night it knows my willpower and sensibilities are at an all time low, and lies in wait for me to open a browser before flashing pictures of gooey, rich foods all over the screen.  I’m hungry, and a gigantic burger floats as a link on the homepage.  On closer inspection, the article is about best burgers in the nation.  As in, far far far away.  Relieved, I click without fear, knowing there’s no way I’ll be tempted to take a late night drive to go get one.  Wrong.

Well, we got the hat tip and apparently, Orbits new owners plan to upgrade the space that formally held Orbits into a “Gourmet Burger Restaurant.” Ooo, sounds sweet, but will it work on the Corner?

Maybe you’ve heard of some of the hot chains out there like “NYC Burger Co.,” “The Counter” or “Pop Burger.” It’s all the rage right now.

J.R., one of the new owners wanted to let cVillains know that they are holding a naming contest for the burger joint AND there is a $500 award to the person that names it!
