Bars: I can’t think of any new creative ways to describe weekend nights at bars on the downtown mall or the corner, so I’ll leave it at “You know, bars on the weekend.”

Vegetarian Festival: It was everything a vegetarian festival should be: homeless animals up for adoption, meatless jerky and kettle corn, anti-war signs, and long lines of “Don’t tell anyone, but I’m actually an omnivore!” folks waiting to buy Ethiopian and Indian meals. I got a kick out of Sha-nay-nay’s review too!

OXO late night: It’s the talk of the town. OXO has attracted the single 30-something crowd with promising pensions… and a pension for Prince. The music has improved: we’re hearing what we’ve known and loved since before we owned cell phones. College students need not attempt it, unless they can do the Safety Dance. (Possibly the best worst music video ever.)

When will Tecktonik hit Charlottesville?

So apparantly there is a new dance craze in Europe called “Tecktonik.” Honestly, it looks like breakdancing for aerobic, rhythm-less white people. It’s gotta get popular soon. Think of this as a competition with New York. We have Dust coming up… DO IT THERE. I expect you all to practice your Tecktonik moves and bring them to the dance floor ASAP! Check the video below:
