A blog named “Spank That Donkey (STD)” is pointing out that a “smear campaign” by Crime Victims United of Virginia has lost its steam because Liz Seccuro, who as far as I know didn’t have any issues with justice, has left the group.
So, basically, here’s the deal. Denise Lunsford is a democratic running against the incumbent republican Jim Camblos. Apparently, because the CVUV was promoting a democratic candidate against a republican, they are, according to STD, running a smear campaign. Maybe I’m missing something here. Help me out.
Also, I wouldn’t normally bring you diseases, but the author of STD has such a ridiculous bias, that his site is worth reading for your afternoon entertainment. He also ends his post with a little stick at Waldo:
Just as an a side, exactly how many PACS include Waldo’s Political Blogroll, (cleverly named Virginia’s Political Blogroll), in their sidebar, and exactly why would they?
The answer is obvious: because STD knows more about the liberal conspiracy than the rest of us.

It’s Halloween, so before contemplating whether or not to stop by CVS before heading home from work to pick up some candy or simply hiding upstairs all night with the lights out, I thought I’d pose a holiday-related question to ponder/post on. What is the oddest, most awkward or simply most hilarious situation you encounter today involving adults in costumes. Pictures are encouraged.

Ok gang, this is my first post. Please be gentle.
I’ve been living in the town for a few years now, and I think I get it. You know - the citywide push at being hip, progressive, liberal, artsy. And I dig it, for sure…don’t get me wrong. »Read More

Ok,
So frustration has led me to posting. Am I the only one to be getting fed up with Comcast and my ‘HD’ receiver? Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the few HD channels that I do get (ABC, CBS, Fox), but I would be even more thrilled if the remaining channels that my receiver claims I get would result in anything more than a ginormous black screen. I have put up with it for a while, and out of fear of dealing with Comcast customer service I have managed to ignore the problem…. until now. I really wish that my Discovery in HD would work. Every time I see one of those awesome nature shows on the HD guide, I get my hopes up only to have them dashed by the black screen. Now, here I am on another saturday with no ESPN (1 or 2) in HD. Sure, the regular stuff works but watching football on HD versus SD is hardly the same. The final straw was when my Showtime in HD started acting up. All of the sudden, the ‘Weeds’ watching parties at my house were so rudely interrupted by digital breakdown. If you’ve seen it, you’ll know what I’m talking about. That is where I draw the line. I finally called up Comcast to have a tech come out to fix the problem. So, here I am on Saturday morning waiting for a knock at my door.

Update: But I will comment on the next video, from Roanoake (view it after the break). I don’t know which scene I like best, the woman shooting double machine guns, the grandma and the 50 caliber, the children shooting machine guns or the Lance bracelets next to the guns.

Ryan Adams had meltdown at show (again)
I wonder what would have happened if he had pulled something like that here. Where does he get off?

OUCH!
Because I’m so into football and blogging on weekends, I thought I’d share some highlights from The Sabre’s message boards. I would be an unwelcome presence on thesabre.com, so I’m offering my would-be comments that aren’t that funny or relevant:
“If you take your v-sabre flag down now… don’t put it back up.” 3-4ManUp
Let me guess, early Halloween flag in Funfax?

Can we talk about driving? I know, I know. It’s been the cranky topic du jour for years, but can we just puhleez use a turn signal once in a while? Since I live down where many of our fine law enforcement personnel go to target shoot, many are on their cell phones, trying to navigate the twists and turns of Old Lynchburg Rd, and not doing such a hot job. No wonder none of them are giving citations to other people on a hand-held cellphone while driving. »Read More

The natural bridge is a privately owned natural landmark that you have to pay $12 dollars to see. Word on the street is that they do some pretty lame light shows late at night. I’ve never heard of anyone actually enjoying the bridge. The worst thing is that they have put a fence around the bridge, so you can’t see it unless you pay! »Read More
