Charlottesville just keeps pushing the envelope on this topic. After UNCUS provided a full frontal copy of the UVa Playboy shoot, we wrapped the US Pole Dance East Coast Competition @ The Paramount, and now we hear that Girls Gone Wild is conducting ‘phone screenings’ and requesting images be submitted for consideration of a local shoot, and on Craigslist none the less…
If you meet the age, weight, & height requirements, your 15 minutes of immortal fame shall be compensated by a crisp Ulysses S. Grant.

UNCUS Does Bewbs
We covered the UVa – Girls Of The ACC Playboy shoot in Playboy UVa, We Passed The Physical, but it appears that The Hook provided a few more photos in their take – Career launcher: UVA’s Playboy models find big success, available on newsstands now. Including some photos of the actual spread. Unedited. Exposed. Free.
I heard rumor at last nights Relaunch Party that UNCUS had done something similar in the past, and certain ‘religious groups’ within Charlottesville took exception to that, and began physically removing the offending material from local boxes. I certainly understand the law requirement for adult material to only be sold to those 18 and above, but what is the legality regarding news coverage, including reprints of adult material, freely available to our oh-so-easily corruptible youth?
I’d say we Villains wholeheartedly support the 1st Amendment in all its forms, and obviously with the proliferation of this intertewbs thing, adult material is only a few Google searches away, sometimes even when you aren’t looking for it. We allow R rated Gravatars for our commentary thread, and obviously we are primarily a 25-35 age group, but what would you readers think if we started featuring NSFW content on the front page?
Whatever the outcome over this may be, we recommend picking up your copy ASAP, because Courtney provided some great coverage on our relaunch as well.

Playboy’s ‘Girls Of ACC’ issue, which includes one UVa student, is on newsstands now. The Hefner crew stopped by last March for our screening, and apparently our little Jenna Arianna (her first and middle names) made the final cut. She is listed as a rather cunning linguist, and we thank her for exactly the exposure Charlottesville needs. (No I’m not joking, I’m completely serious.)

Playboy will be visiting the University of Virginia on March 30th and 31st to screen candidates for their annual Girls of the ACC. For more information about registering for the event, visit the Playboy website. If anyone finds out where this is, can you let us know?
The DP reports:
A spokeswoman for Playboy said each woman who auditions will be asked a few questions about her major and activities at school. She will then go into a back room with a photographer, where she will pose in a two-piece swimsuit or lingerie.
“We don’t encourage them to go topless or nude,” said Tina E. Manzo of Playboy. “But if they’re comfortable, of course they can.”
