Ok, so the only thing worse than voting tomorrow is trying to get through to the polls without having to talk with one of those annoying lemmings that attacks you like you haven’t made up your mind. I can’t stand those people.
Who are you voting for? What issues do you think people need to consider for tomorrow?
P.S. go to Charlottesville Podcasting Network to hear all the candidates talk about their positions.

Hey, if Al Gore can fly around on government private jets, why can’t our little politicians fly on commercial airlines?
WCAV Reports:
Three school officials and two members of city council are visiting Charlottesville’s sister city Poggio a Caiano. They say the purpose of this trip is for the schools to potentially spark a student cultural exchange program.
Poggio a Caiano is our “sister city.” I have no idea what that means. It looks pretty nice, judging by the pictures on Flickr. But, get this,
Poggio a Caiano is a COMMUNE, no lie.
Is “sister” city code name for [communist] brother city? Are our city officials CARD CARRYING MEMBERS? I BELIEVE THIS CALLS FOR AN INVESTIGATION…
Anyway, is it ok for tax payers to cover a trip for these politicians?

Results are taken from here. Results show which local “celebrities” gave money to which candidate. Poke around… maybe we missed something juicy.

Diane Sawyer recently interviewed Jenna Bush. The full interview is watchable at 10PM on Friday (when you shouldn’t be watching TV). Highlights include:
“I didn’t go to Latin America thinking, ‘I’m gonna write a book. This is what I’m gonna do.’ I went there to work for UNICEF and to learn. But as my job for UNICEF was to document the lives of kids living in exclusion, I wanted to make them more than statistics. So I would take the statistic and write their historias de vitas ” the stories of their lives ” and then I met Ana. Through all the kids, I thought, ‘This could be more, there should be something more,’” Bush said.
“You know there’ve been people [actor] Matt Damon among them” who have said, ‘Should the Bush daughters be fighting in Iraq?’” Sawyer said….Obviously I understand that question and see what, what the point of that question is, for sure,” Bush said. “I think there are many ways to serve your country. And I think … what’s most appropriate for me to do is to teach or to work in UNICEF and represent our country in Latin America. But you know I don’t think it’s a practical question. I think if people really thought about it, they know that we would put many people in danger. But I understand the point of it. I hope that I serve by being a teacher.”
So there you have it. Our future neighbor got hired to be the National Geographic reporter (sans pictures) for UNICEF and thinks that it’s appropriate for her to serve the country by writing about poor citizens of other countries.
