I’d like to conduct a little experiment…

I’m curious as to how many ‘lurkers’ there are out there, and maybe some of you are too?

Here’s what I’d like (humor me if you will): if you’ve come to this site and are reading this, I’d like you to please post a comment. It doesn’t have to be “War and Peace”, a simple “here” will do as if we were taking attendance (not asking on behalf of the site by the way, just my own personal request here). Its easy to do, make up a username, hell make up an e-mail address if you’d like I’m just curious about numbers, not who you are. If you’d like to though, feel free to tell us a little about yourself or what you’d like to see more of here (this may be a good future poll topic, Thor, if you’re reading this) more restaurant and other reviews? more gossip? non-local items that are interesting or funny grabbed from cyberspace? more UVA related stuff? Like to come here to read, but don’t want to post, thats fine and a simple “here” will do. Heard a good joke and want to share it? Make that your comment.

What kind of cVillain are you?

This site has grown up so quickly, and we barely know each other. I just launched a new poll to get a better handle on the cVillain community. Please participate in the poll. Here are some more details on each option:

Best Ofs

Comon folks (Thor I like it), putting together a “Best Of” poll is HARD to do! But a Google search of “best of [city]” produces some really interesting categories. Try these on for size:

Best of Cincinnati, best-of-cincinnati.com: Best Bar for Type A Personalities. Wow, that sounds like SO much fun.

Best of the Bay, San Francisco Bay Guardian: Best Celeb Badonkadonk Adorer. This entire list is pure gold… don’t read if you don’t want to get caught not doing work right now.

Best of Boston, Boston Magazine: Bowling Alley. This is a seriously legitimate category for anyone who knows Beantown… I even looked for a “Best Dunkin’ Donuts location.”

Best of Austin, Austin Chronicle: Best… uh… Septic Service. Good to know!

Best of Phoenix, Phoenix New Times: Best Erection. No comment. See also: Best Birthday Party Idea for Girls. On the same list. Nice, Phoenix.

Best Semi-Public Hook Up Places in Charlottesville

So, it’s starting to get hot and humid in Charlottesville and I’d figure it would be a good idea to educate our more frisky readers to the many hot spots for that much needed summer hook-up, make out, kissing, or whatever. I’ll keep updating the list as you submit your favorite places and then we’ll put together a poll to determine the winner. The starting list:

UVA Gardens: Serpentine brick-enclosed gardens in the heart of Thomas Jefferson’s University of Virginia. Need I say more?

MAS: Dark, expensive, so loud you need to be on top of someone to hear them.

Alderman Library: The stacks, as they call them, offer an endless maze of hidden enjoyment.

Riverview Park: Secluded, off street parking, near the river!

O Hill: It’s called O hill, c’mon! If you don’t mind the occasional mountain biker, it’s got some nice trails.

And I’m spent. Let me know what I missed!

Updates:

Chris let us know about his Google Map Action of UVA sex places.

Charlottesville’s Hottest Singles Scene Votes Are In

Blue Light Is The Winner.

Not surprisingly, Blue Light Grill took the pie. Blue Light was certainly the first “high end” bar that came to Charlottesville and it seems to have kept its prestige all these years. Personally, Blue Light seems to be the default “where you go when you want a non-UVA crowd” type place, but I’ve had countless experiences that suggest otherwise. Here are my gripes with Blue Light:
