Rest in Peace Michael Jackson

The guy had his problems, but Michael Jackson’s undoubtedly the king of pop music. Yesterday, Jackson collapsed in his rented LA home and his physician attempted to resuscitate him.  Jackson reportedly slipped into cardiac arrest.  Medics attempted CPR in an attempt to revive him as they rushed him to the hospital.  He was pronounced dead at 2:26 local time.

Rest in peace, Michael.

Charlottesville Community Members Killed in Mumbai Terrorist Attacks

 Alan and Naomi Scherr

Alan Scherr, 58, and daughter Naomi, 13 died in the Mumbai terrorist attacks.  They were visiting India as part of a spiritual program associated with the Synchronicity Sanctuary which is about 15 miles away from Charlottesville.  Alan and Naomi are survived by their mother and two sons.

Not long ago, I received a tip that the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA had persuaded two prospective pet owners to leave with two pets– when they meant to get just one.

On Monday, the Newsplex reported that our local branch has seen an increase in the number of hunting dogs needing homes. I’ve loved every beagle and Jack Russell I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, so I decided to stop in and hoped to hang out with a Snoopy– and see if I’d be encouraged to get two.

I never made it that far. As soon as I set foot in that door, I felt bad for ever having had an ulterior motive. I cried.
