What.. A Pill To Stop Your Binge Drinking?

Solving our drinking problems or a secret enemy of Bud Light?  You decide.  Story at 9AM.

Robert Leeman

I read this news story about a drug that reduces your desire for alcohol and cuts down your binge drinking. It’s called naltrexone and is the same stuff they give to herion addicts.  According to Dr. Robert Leeman’s study:

Naltrexone has been shown to halve the amount people drink and cut the number of heavy drinking sessions by 70 per cent after 12 weeks.

So, if you go out drinking, what do you do if you are on this pill?  Now, I’m not sure if that is a good or a bad thing.  Can you see yourself taking a pill every single day to prevent yourself from binge drinking?  Don’t people who binge drink know what happens?

Binge drinking is bad for you, but people do it because they have boring lives, are insecure or just want to do something out of the norm.   I’m sure we are all guilty to some extent.

Binge drinking (for our purposes) means having more than 5 drinks in 3 hours for men and 4 drinks in 3 hours for women.

The Good Thing About Herpes

I apologize that this isn’t about Charlottesville, but it’s too funny. The guy’s name is Virgin.

These new results do not mean people should go out and get infected with herpes, Virgin stressed. They probably already are.
