We haven’t seen any signs of aliens just yet, but a lot of buzz is happening around a super bright greenish-white light and explosion that happened somewhere in the mid-Atlantic coast sky last night.  We’ll look for videos of the event, but nothing was on YouTube, other than the following television report:

I usually don’t post local news stories to the NG, but this is downright strange and rather intriguing. A couple of hours ago there was a brilliant greenish-white light that lit up the sky, and a minute later there was a huge “boom” like an explosion that rattled windows and doors. I was sitting in my bedroom with the window open because it’s a warm evening. I had my back to the window, but I saw the flash reflected on my computer screen like when a flash bulb goes off except it lasted longer. Last night, around 2 am, there was this incredibly loud roar in the sky that woke me and my boyfriend up. I asked around this morning, and another friend who lives in C-Ville said the same thing. She and her boyfriend woke up to a really loud roar at 2am and were really confused. It sounded like a spaceship or a low-flying jet fighter plane, or something. Anyone know what it was?
