Club Villain – The Local Wrap

We had a delicious and classy evening last night @ The Local.  Theo & Adam showed off a few new drinks, and we got to try out a great selection of their appetizers.  They also had nothing but great things to say about cVillain, probably because we’ve been fans of theirs since the early days.  One lucky commenter will also win a pair of entrées on the house.

I was privy to a houseguest this weekend, he a U.Va. alumnus who hasn’t spent much time in Charlottesville since being graduated in 2003. We shall call him Cristóbal.

Opportunity! I bum-rushed him with as much cVillainy as his senses—and his liver—could handle. Below is our hitlist from the weekend. »Read More

The Local Charlottesville Restaurant Review

Judging by the popularity of Charlottesville and Belmont’s new little jewel, The Local, many of you have already eaten there and like it. We’ve asked you what you think of The Local and published The Local’s Menu.

We’ve visited The Local several times in recent weeks and now it’s time for a formal review. If you peruse the menu, you will find that The Local has a very reasonably priced menu. It hits that $13 to $16 entre range that has driven a similar success to restaurants like Continental Divide.
