No Mush Here Just Your Weekend Preview 8/15-8/17

I leave for a week again and come back to lovey dovey posts? What is going on here?! Must be the introduction of the newhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/walkering/2041758630/ LoveCVILLE site. While I must admit summer lovin couldn’t be more fun I will be leaving it out of this weekend’s preview. Although everything here would be more fun with two. Have a great weekend villains and try to be “safe” in whatever “activities” your weekend may bring.

The usual Friday - if you have tried one or any you should! Fridays After Five, Crush Wine Tasting, Market Street Wine Tasting, and Beer Run’s Wine Tasting.

Two fairs this weekend: The Rockingham County Fair and The Greene County Fair.

That’s all folks. Hopefully B yo will bless up with the DJ line-up for the weekend and as always checkout MUSE and Style for more of the weekend’s happenings.

Beer Fraud Coming Soon To A Bar Near You

I was just reading an article in the WSJ about bars shrinking their beer output by some rather nefarious means…smaller glasses, more foam, etc…While I don’t do as much social drinking as I used to (damn kids) I know there’s more than a few folks on cVillain who would want to be on the lookout for skimping at our local watering holes. Of course, I do know that a few bars I used to frequent didn’t offer the wide array of brews the taphandles would lead you to believe they did (ever wonder why that Bud Light tastes a lot like Natty?). But at least you were getting a full 16 0z. of stale pisswater.

Have any of the other villains, both bartenders and bar lovers, seen this happening around town? Besides thinning margins it seems breweries around the country are facing a shortage of hops, which means we have to drink as much at South Street on Tuesdays as we can. Watch this video to learn more:

Crazy Weekend Stories Here

We need to hear some crazy/exciting/courageous/drunk/audacious/naughty/lively villain stories. I missed the “drunk posting” thread so much I had to recreate a similar post. What did you guys do last night? Saturday night?

I’ll start. I was strolling down the mall after watching a movie (it was to freaking hot to be anywhere that didn’t have AC) when I stumble upon Kiki’s replacement. I wander in for a quick drink. I make my way to the bathroom after the drink and wait a good 15 minutes. I am not the biggest fan of waiting. Finally a girl stumbles out of the bathroom with a sneaky grin. I head for the door and as I touch the handle a boy leaves the room. Oh my. What fun they had on a Friday night. Wait it gets a little better! I walk in the bathroom to not only discover they have a cool TV that allows you to view what is going on at the bar, but also the girl’s panties.

What an interesting drink I had.

Come One Come All

Someone at the Space party referred to Cvillain as a really organized, really fun community bulletin board. To add to that warm fuzzy feeling:

Charlottesville Women’s Theatre is having auditions for their next production on Monday, June 2, 2008 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Bridge PAI in Belmont (www.thebridgepai.com). Check it out. It sounds like they would like everyone and anyone to audition (we are working on getting parlie to audition in a dress-they would have a GREAT turnout).

Charlottesville Women’s Theatre Project is holding auditions for it’s next production on Monday June 2nd from 7-10 at The Bridge PAI in Belmont www.thebridgepai.com. We will be doing a staged reading of “Bras and Beaters” - a play by a local woman playwright. We need women AND men for this project! Performances mid to late July. No preparation needed! Questions contact 434-984-2684 or cvillewomenstheatreproject@gmail.com

If any of you check this out let us know how it goes. And please, please, please let us know if any of you end up in it. We would love to come cheer you on (selfish note: it would give me something to do on Friday night).
