Kyle’s decision to split from Summer felt contrived. While his outrage about Summer having concealed Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) existence was logical, choosing to split from her and coupling with Audra so soon was forced.
Viewers know daytime is about drama. But the emotional investment they have in Summer and Kyle’s marriage and family was frittered away. The rushed nature of Kyle’s attachment to Audra is a leading point of contention.
