Emmerdale airs dramatic and worrying scenes later this month as a character faces grave danger.
Amid a major family secret coming to light and a “dark” twist for Chloe Harris, Mackenzie Boyd is revealed to be in serious danger in upcoming scenes. Spoilers for the week before Christmas reveal a dramatic kidnap plot that could see the character killed, depending on what his mystery abductor is after.
No details have been given about what happens or who takes him, but what is known is that Mack’s life is on the line. After a row with Charity Dingle he storms out, and walks into the path of danger.
Mack will be shown unconscious and unresponsive, bound to a chair in an abandoned factory. His fate is not confirmed, but it’s teased he could be in a bad way if he’s not rescued – but who is behind the abduction and why?

It comes after soap producer Laura Shaw teased a major secret about Mack’s sister Moira Dingle will come to light. Laura has revealed to us that Moira’s deepest darkest secret is set to be exposed as one villager learns about a truth from her past – with bosses confirming the secret could threaten Moira’s “whole life”.
Speaking about what’s to come, she told The Mirror: “It’s a secret from her past. She does it in a way to try and help the person that she’s talking to, but how is that person going to react when they find out Moira’s deepest, darkest secret? If they blow it, it could threaten Moira’s whole life. So I’ll leave you to guess what that secret from the past might be.”
She also teased more drama in the Chloe plot, as Mack’s ex teams up with her mystery father it seems. Chloe took revenge on Mack recently and fled with his baby son Reuben, after he dumped her for Charity.
Speaking to us, Laura revealed: “We’ve got a slightly edgierChristmasthis year! The Charity, Mackenzie, Chloe love triangle has been bubbling away for 18 months or so now. We’ll see at Christmas that reach a bit more of a crescendo where Mackenzie pushes Chloe to her absolute limits. And what we’ll see is her reach out to her father for help.
“Chloe’s dad is not someone to be messed about with quite a dark character… When she reaches out to him, what we will see is him helping Chloe in his own unique way. Is Mackenzie gonna be able to talk his way out of this one? I’m not sure. We’ll have to wait and see, but I think it’s pretty sure to say that the repercussions of that are gonna be long lasting into the new year and beyond.”
