Emmerdale Christmas spoilers: Jacob and Victoria’s sex confession staggers their loved ones
Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) and Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) recently tried to call time on their romance in Emmerdale.
After all, it had only caused devastation when David (Matthew Wolfenden) found out that the woman he still loved was having a relationship with his son – causing David to depart from the village in heartbreaking scenes.
Try as they might, however, the couple couldn’t resist each other for very long and were soon back together.
Victoria opened up to former brother-in-law Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) about the romance and he was supportive, giving her confidence that it might be easier for the rest of the village to accept than she’d been fearing.
In upcoming episodes the truth starts to come out after Gabby (Rosie Bentham) works out that Victoria and Jacob are a couple. The two of them realise that it’s time to be open about things.
The first hurdle is to tell Pollard (Chris Chittell) and Leyla (Roxy Shahidi). It’s a daunting prospect, as Leyla has never been a fan of Victoria’s and was furious with her when she accidentally gave Jacob some food containing nuts, that triggered an almost fatal allergic reaction.
Ironically this was the incident that made Jacob realise he was in love with Victoria.
Meanwhile Pollard has been struggling to come to terms with his Parkinson’s diagnosis, and was hugely upset by David leaving the village. It’s a daunting prospect for Jacob to admit to him that he played a part in David’s decision.
The couple arrange a meeting with Pollard and Leyla to deliver the news to them both together.
They reveal that they’re a couple and they’re happy together, but they also have to explain that David knew about the affair and that’s why he left the village.
It’s a lot to take in. How will Eric and Leyla take the news?
