Philip Kiriakis Returns To Salem
It has been a while since Salemites or Days of Our Lives viewers said or heard the name “Philip Kiriakis” on the soap. After all, he has been dead all this while, hasn’t he? Well, the dead not being dead is not even shocking anymore on DOOL. Thus, it was only Paulina’s jaw that hit the floor when Kate revealed that her son was actually alive. Long-time viewers will recall that Philip had tried to fake his death and attempted to frame Brady for it. All for revenge and jealousy! You see, there was a time when Chloe and Philip were a hot item! But then, things went sideways. She falsely accused him of raping her and later recanted.

However, the two could never get back together on the same page on Days of Our Lives. Later, Chloe started dating Brady Black, and that sent Philip flying in a fury! That’s when he indulged in twisted lies. He used his prosthetic hand to fake his death and framed Brady for it. But the thing is, Philip is very much alive. All this while, he was away at a mental health facility, getting treatment that he so badly needed! But now, it seems, he is recovered and on his way back home! Certainly, it will be a massive shock for Salemites to see him alive! But Philip, too, will be in for a shock when he sees Chloe in the arms of a new partner, Xander!
An Old Flame Re-ignites, A Jealous Xander Acts Out
There has been a lot of water under the bridge when it comes to Philip and Chloe on Days of Our Lives. Chloe has since moved on in life and has seen immense personal growth too. Although, how far Philip has come is yet to be seen. But another person who seems to have made a lot of personal growth is Xander. Perhaps, Chloe has been good for him in that sense. But will that positive growth continue to be? Or is it all about to come down like a house of cards? With Sarah’s secret on one side and Philip’s impending return on the other, it seems like Xander is walking a really tightrope.
So can Philip’s return trigger the bad side Xander has sort of repressed on Days of Our Lives? Of course, upon return, Philip may want to make amends with Brady and Chloe. They will all have a lot to talk about. Considering the romantic history, Philip may still be harboring some feelings for Chloe, and Xander may not like that. Even if Chloe has moved on from him, her platonic friendship with Philip also might become too much for Xander to handle. Especially since he has lost his women so many times before! What’s that saying about once bitten twice shy? Oh yeah! Just that!
