Alaskan Bush People: Ami Brown Fails To Settle Billy’s Massive Debt, Blasts Investor’s Lawsuit
Alaskan Bush People spoilers, news, and updates tease that the Browns are still recovering from the death of their patriarch, Billy Brown. Since his passing, a lot of things have happened and that includes facing a lawsuit, which was brought on by a former investor.
Previous reports have revealed that Robert Maughon filed a $500,000 lawsuit against Billy’s estate for the patriarch’s failure to pay him the profits he made from the Discovery Channel. Amy, who’s been designated as the personal representative of Billy’s estate, is trying to sort things out.
Ami Defends Billy’s Estate
Ami blasts the investor who sued Billy’s estate because the patriarch is no longer alive to defend himself against the lawsuit and all the other accusations thrown at him. According to U.S. Sun, court documents revealed that Ami and Billy’s estate responded to Maughon’s lawsuit.
It was noted that Maughon didn’t make any demands until 2014, referring to the contract that was signed and dated back on January 25, 2009. It was also pointed out that Maughon didn’t bring up a contract that was dated January 6, 2009.
“Thereafter unreasonably delaying action or communication with Billy Bryan Brown, again presenting demands and filing legal action in 2021 only after the death of Billy Bryan Brown, who could not then defend the matter with his own testimony,” as per the documents obtained.
Ami is now requesting a jury trial and asks that the plaintiff pay all their legal costs. Ami and Maughon have agreed to a settlement meeting, which is expected to take place on March 9, 2023.
Raiven and Bear Split
Aside from the lawsuit, the Browns are also dealing with another problem. It was recently revealed that Raiven and Bear split a few weeks before the latter gave birth. The couple has just been married for less than a month, and they’ve, once again, decided to go separate ways.
Not much was revealed about the cause of their break up. However, Raiven took to Instagram to explain that “Bear and I have separated. I am putting my health and my children first.”
She noted that they plan to co-parent their kids, and there will be no drama. She made it clear that it’s the last time she’ll be sharing anything about their breakup, and she won’t be sharing any information after this particular post.
