Alaskan Bush People’s fired Matt Brown disappears from social media after he’s publicly accused of ‘raping two women’
FORMER Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown has disappeared from social media following accusations of rape made against him.
The reality star has not posted on his social media pages since August 31, when he shared his own artwork.
“I just put out a YouTube video where you can watch me draw a cool picture in timelapse!” he captioned the post.
His disappearance on social media comes as he was accused by two different women of rape in July 2018.
First accuser Jessica Jurges, 35, a one-time personal assistant of the reality TV family, alleged in an exclusive interview with The Sun that Matt ripped off her swimsuit, grabbed her arms and raped her in a swimming pool as she tried to fight him off.
Shelly Dawn Early, Matt’s then-manager, also alleged the 37-year-old former Alaskan Bush People star raped her three days later at the same location in Canoga Park, Los Angeles.
Both women reported the alleged rapes to the LAPD’s Topanga Division, who launched an investigation and passed the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.
However, the DA’s Office later declined to prosecute.
Following the alleged attack, Jessica reached out to Matt’s brothers Bear and Gabe, who apologized for their troubled brother.
In one text message reviewed by The Sun, Bear told Jessica: “I’d have killed him! No one disrespects a lady! That is unacceptable, he will pay!”
Brother Gabe responded: “I’m so sorry I mean this with all my heart stay away from Matt.
“Does he know where you live? I don’t know what to say or do tbh I think because there’s nothing I can do. All the excuses in the world can’t make up for his behavior – it’s not ok.”
Jessica said Matt, who has had well-documented alcohol problems, started drinking vodka while she drank Hennessy before persuading her to get in a swimming pool on July 8, 2018.
Describing the alleged assault, Jessica said: “He ripped my bathing suit off. Wouldn’t let go of me. I said no probably a million times.”
At the time, second accuser Shelly – who had been employed by Matt to act as a manager and to help him deal with his addiction issues – was in the property and reportedly found the two together in the pool.
“Thank God she was there,” said Jessica.
“She ripped him off. At some point, his back was towards her and she grabbed him one hand underneath one shoulder, one hand on his hair.”
“After the attack, we got out of the pool… He just apologized and cried.”
Shelley also accused Matt of raping her three days later when he was “out-of-his-mind drunk.”
“He knew that I had a hip replacement and he knew that my legs aren’t as strong as the rest of my body,” she claimed.
“And that’s how it happened. I couldn’t ward him off because my hips were weak.
“He was out-of-his-mind drunk. After it happened, he told me that I raped him – that’s how drunk he was.”
Matt has been absent from the show since around the same time as the alleged rapes – when he was admitted to rehab for addiction problems.
However, a source close to the Brown family exclusively told The Sun that the alleged incidents are “not shocking at all.”
The insider continued: “I believe her story simply because of the way the family acts around him.
“Some family members refuse to even speak to him let alone work with him.”
