Chrishell Stause is remembering her late costar Billy Miller.
Miller, who was best known for his roles in soap operas The Young and the Restless and General Hospital, died on Friday in Austin, Texas at the age of 43.
According to a statement from his manager obtained by PEOPLE, Miller was “struggling with manic depression when he died.” No specific cause of death was cited.
Selling Sunset star Stause, 42, worked with Miller on All My Children when the Daytime Emmy Award winner joined the soap as Richie Novak in 2007. Stause played Amanda Dillon from 2005 to 2011.
On what would have been the actor’s 44th birthday Sunday, Stause paid an emotional tribute to her “friend” and former costar on Instagram.
