When John Aniston heartbreakingly passed away in November, 2022, we knew sooner or later Days of Our Lives will have to bid goodbye to Victor Kiriakis as well. There was no other option, a character as iconic as Victor, portrayed by an actor as legendary as John, could never recast. And the time to bid goodbye is finally upon us. Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of August 14-18, 2023 reveal that Salem is about be be racked by tragedy. Victor will set off on the Titan Jet to go see Bo Brady. Unfortunately, the plane will come crashing down. Victor Kiriakis will sadly pass away in the tragedy.
Justin Kiriakis will become the bearer of bad news in the upcoming episodes. Many characters will mourn Victor’s passing on Days of Our Lives. However, Shawn and Xander will take a rather huge hit as they reel in guilt. Shawn will hold himself responsible once again as Victor has jetted off to see Bo, only because he was in a coma. Meanwhile, Xander will regret not having made amends while he still had the chance to. But apart from these two, there are a number of other iconic characters that will or should return to pay homage to Victor.

For instance, the Days of Our Lives spoilers have revealed that Philip Kiriakis will return to Salem next week. He will surprise Kate as he shows up at her doorstep, finally recovered and released from his mental health facility. However, the list of returnees can’t end with just one name on it. Victor lived a colorful life on the Peacock soap. Marrying six times, he had five wives and several children and grandchildren! Considering, he has now passed, his fortune will now be getting passed down. So, it is inevitable that a number of people hoping for a fat paycheck might show up too!
We would totally expect Bo Brady to be at his father’s funeral on Days of Our Lives. However, we are unsure if it is possible. Considering that he is still in a coma somewhere. But then this is Salem, and anything is possible. Besides, all it needs is a little re-writing to bring back Bo. We have seen many unexplainable things before, and Bo suddenly waking up would just be normal in comparison. The funeral really will not be complete without Peter Reckell reviving Bo to attend it.
Circling back to Victor’s many wives, there was one in particular whom he married twice. The phenomenal Vivian! Days of Our Lives really must bring Louise Sorrel back to play the dramatic Vivian. The funeral cannot conclude without her antics and, of course, some major pot-stirring in the subsequent episodes. Ultimately, there will be a plethora of new storylines to play out if these characters do return to the screen. What do you think? Tell us in the comments.
