Days of our Lives Comings and Goings: Philip Kiriakis Returns to Salem

Days of our Lives Comings and Goings: Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier)

Days of our Lives comings and goings spill that John-Paul Lavoisier is recast as Philip Kiriakis. Plus, will Ava Vitali return to the canvas? And how long will Lani Price stick around? Here’s what we know so far for the Peacock exclusive.

Days of our Lives Comings and Goings: Philip Kiriakis Comes Home

DOOL comings and goings report that John-Paul Lavoisier reprises his role as Philip Kiriakis. When we last saw the character in the winter of 2021, Jay Kenneth Johnson portrayed him. However, fans may recall that John-Paul Lavoisier played Philip from 2015 to 2016 before Johnson took over again.

Before he vanished on Days of our Lives, Philip obsessed over Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). He was so out of control that he faked his own death and set his rival up to take the fall. But Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) didn’t kill his uncle.

In fact, his mother, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), and father, Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), knew their son needed help. They convinced him to go to the Bayview mental facility for help. And they kept it hush-hush.

Days comings and goings reveal that Kate talks about Philip in the latest preview trailer. She tells Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) that her son Philip Kiriakis is alive.

This foreshadowing comes before the announcement that he will come to Salem for Victor’s memorial service next month. After he says goodbye to his dad in August, will Philip seek out Chloe Lane to rekindle their relationship for a third time?

Or will he know that the ship has sailed? After all, she now shacks up with his cousin, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer). Further, will he fight his stepmom, Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers), for control of the family business?

Some DOOL watchers speculate that the mean CEO Maggie is Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) in disguise wanting to take over Titan Industries for her son. And Vivian visits Salem soon as well. Only time will tell. Look for John-Paul Lavoisier’s reprisal of Philip Kiriakis in August 2023.

DOOL Comings and Goings: Ava Vitali Seen at Bayview?

Days of our Lives comings and goings wonder if mob princess Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) will be seen in the mental hospital. She spends time in the facility acting insane after driving Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) off a cliff while she held her captive. She claimed insanity and serves her sentence in the institution rather than Statesville Prison.

Further, Philip Kiriakis, her former co-conspirator, may also be in contact with Ava during his time at Bayview. She could have formed another alliance with her old running buddy. And with talk of Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) possibly getting committed to Bayview, many DOOL viewers consider a run-in with the mobster.

Plus, Days of our Lives speculation puts Harris Michaels as a potential new love interest. Will we see Ava hook up with the Navy Seal Vet? Or will Harris spend time focusing on treatment so he can get out of the hospital with a stronger mind? We may find out soon, so stay tuned.

Days Comings and Goings: How Long Will Lani Price Stick Around?

DOOL comings and goings wonder if Lani Price (Sal Stowers) hangs out in Salem a little longer. She’s out of prison on leave to be with her family since her dad, Abe Carver (James Reynolds), is presumed dead. But Jerry Prentiss (Terrell Ransom, Jr.) confesses that Abe Carver is alive. Nurse Whitley King (Kim Coles) kidnapped the amnesiac and hired him to play his son, Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson).

Further, Days of our Lives spoilers reveal Lani tries to rescue Abe. However, police find her “lifeless.” What does the crazy nurse do to Abe’s daughter? Thankfully, sources report Lani is forced to say goodbye on Thursday, July 27, 2023, after Abe wakes up from his drug stupor.

So Lani may be in Salem for only a couple more weeks before she returns to Maryland to finish her sentence. However, she hints she gets out around the holidays. We could see her come home with her husband, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), and their twin toddlers in time to hang their Horton Family tree ornaments.

This isn’t the last we see of Lani Price on DOOL. And will Harris meet Ava Vitali? Finally, watch for one of the biggest returns of the summer when John-Paul Lavoisier reprises the role of Philip Kiriakis. He may be ready to take over his father’s legacy and finally win at love on Peacock’s Days of our Lives.
