EastEnders’ Bobby Brazier leaves Holly Willoughby blushing with x-rated Strictly joke
EASTENDERS star Bobby Brazier left Holly Willoughby blushing after he made a very X-rated joke ahead of his Strictly debut.
The actor and model, 20, joined presenter Holly and co-host Dermot O’Leary on the This Morning sofa on Wednesday.
Bobby and Strictly professional Dianne Buswell teased viewers about their upcoming performance on Saturday night, with the soap star joking about his “thrusting hips”.
Holly asked: “This weekend, the big first live show, are you allowed to tell us anything?”
Bobby admitted: “I think it’s either going to go really good or really badly,” with Dianne laughing: “I think that too.”
Holly then asked if the pair were doing a style of dance that they liked, with Aussie pro Dianne replying: “He only knows one style at the moment, because that’s the style we’ve started with.
“But that particular style, I think suits Bobby very very well and I think it’s the opposite to what he thought he’d really like.”
Holly then predicted that the dancing duo would be performing an elegant ballroom dance on Saturday.
The presenter continued: “I reckon he would have been drawn to the Latin,” with Dermot saying: “Yeah…the hips.”
Bobby burst out laughing and exclaimed: “The thrusting.”
Holly and Dermot were left in fits of laughter at Bobby’s cheeky quip.
Red-faced Holly was left stunned for words, adding: “You said that.”
While Dermot concluded: “I’m glad we didn’t.”
Elsewhere during the interview, the presenters were keen to find out how Bobby was finding training.
Holly said: “What’s in your favour and goes against you as well, is that you’ve never watched the show [Strictly].”
The soap star agreed and said: “Yeah, I’m excited that my first ever experience of Strictly is on Strictly.”
Dianne went on: “I feel like in this week you know a lot about Strictly already though.”
Holly then asked if Bobby had got his head round the different dances, with Aussie pro Dianne saying: “He knows the dance we’re doing at the moment, but every single time I mention a dance, he’s like ‘I’ve never heard of it’, which is actually quite exciting for me because I know I’m teaching him from scratch and there are no bad habits.
“And by the end of it, I’m like ‘I thought him how to do that’, that’s kind of cool.”
Dermot praised the youngster for taking on the new challenge, with Bobby saying he and Dianne are focusing on “progression” and how he can keep improving.
Bobby – who plays Freddie Slater on the BBC One soap – said his instantly accepted the opportunity to appear on Strictly, despite never having watched the show.
“It was a no-brainer, It was a yes straight away. I begged my boss a little bit to allow me to do it. He graced me the opportunity and I’m really lucky,” he said.
